Well I know its been a while but one of my New Year's Resolutions is to blog more ;). This blog is about my beloved angel baby Schroeder and my parent's dog Berge (pronounced like burg-ee). They are pals. Berge thinks and treats Schroeder like he is her puppy. She has known him since he was a puppy so I guess thats where that started. He also likes to take advantage of her because she is so sweet!!! Berge is a full blood St.Bernard that my parents adopted from the Oklahoma St. Bernard Rescue about 5 years ago. She was 11 months old and had been abandoned then through a bitter divorce and the in foster care. My parents were told that she wasn't housebroken and had a chewing issue. They adopted her anyway and she has never once pottied in the house or chewed on one thing. She was obviously grateful for her last chance home :( Schroeder is my 3 year old Great Pyrenees/Blue Heeler mix. I was working at my church one day when a family from our church brought the whole litter of 10 to the church. They were left for dead by their orignal owner. I was just looking and petting them all with no intentions of getting one. I asked if there were any girls left because I was going to try to find one a home in Tulsa in my parents neighborhood. They said there were only boys left and I thought, no thank you. I thought I had held all of the puppies when I saw Schroeder asleep in one of the little boys arms. I asked if I could hold him and I never put him down. When I picked him up chills went through my body and tears filled my eyes. It was love at first sight. I knew I had to find him a home but after a month, no one was good enough. I cried every day for two weeks because I knew I couldn't let go of him. Luckily my sister Micah and cousin Nancy agreed to move out with me to get a house where I could keep him. I have obviously never regretted one minute of it because he is my very very best friend!!!! So those of you who have been on the fence about adopting a dog, I encourage you to go to a rescue center and adopt a dog that needs a second chance!!!! They are so worth it. They will make up for every bad rumor you have ever heard about half-breeds or rescue dogs!!!! They appreciate it!!! I love you Schro and Berg!

"The girls"
Me and Jakey
(Cam obviously didnt get the "J" name memo)
Steph, Me, Anna, Brita and Sarah
I finally made it over to Fayetteville for the Ole' Miss game. We don't need to talk anymore about that. It was such a blast seeing all the girls again. We didn't quite live up to who we were in college but that is a good thing ;). We stayed with our dear friends Sarah and Jared Greer and it is always like an endless slumber party. They also supply us with endless amounts of food and stuff from Rick's bakery!! Jake and I had a good time but hate that we only ever make it over for about one game per season. He actually has been to two and Im the DIE HARD fan. Its not right. Of course when I leave Fayetteville I am always sad and exhausted but it is worth it to see some of the best friends a girl could ask for!!!

Oktoberfest-Tulsa
Oktoberfest= beer, brats, and kettle corn!!! The weather turned out perfectly for Oktoberfest this year. I was so lucky to go with Jake, two of my besties (Steph and Edi)and their mates!! We filled ourselves with yummy beer, yummier cheese filled brats, and the yummiest kettle corn I have ever tasted in my 25 years! As you can imagine, the bathroom lines were horrendous. After waiting in line for 20 minutes Edi and I spotted a private porta potty for a certain brats tent. We snuck behind it to find that it was locked. Edi pleaded with the tent manager to let 3 cute girls use it quickly, and it worked. We saw several others trying what we tried and he would only respond with "sorry, its private." We felt special with our empty bladders while we watched everyone else in misery. We thought we would go out afterward because we were feeling young and frisky. Those "going out" feelings turned out to be "going out to eat" feelings, for when we got to Brookside we found ourselves cuddled into a cozy booth eating and yawning. We did get some amazing cheese fries!!!(as if we needed more food) We tried to stay out late but that cozy bed back at home with snuggly puppy awaiting me, won out!!

My second 1st blog!!
I had another post yesterday but in effort to allow comments, Sarah had to get on and delete everything and start from scratch. So this will kinda be my first blog post. This picture is my pumpkin from last year!! I love fall and all that it entails!! Im getting ready for bed but am reflecting on the day behind me. Last night I asked Margot if she knew when the rain was coming and she said not until Tuesday, so I didn't seal up the Jeepy. Lo and behold, what was the weather like this morning?? Pure- D- Rain!! Oh well. I got off work at 1 so Margot and I hit up some thrift stores and then made some bean burritos for lunch!! We were gonna carve our pumpkins this afternoon but we put in a Friends DVD and took a nap instead!! I couldn't help but get excited tonight while watching the Hills because it seems that Heidi may be coming to a realization of how miserable Spencer is making her. Hopefully tomorrow we will carve away and I can post new pics to show off our pumpkin carving abilities!! As usual Schroeder is gonna faint if I don't turn off Hannity and Colmes and get in bed. (he falls apart at about 10:30 everynight!) Im gonna do us both a favor and go to sleep!! Ill keep you updated on those pumpkins!
